Heavy traffic congestion was observed at the Pantangi toll plaza in Choutuppal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, on October 17, 2026. This situation arose due to the Dasara festival and weekend holidays, leading to long queues of vehicles on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway.
Commuters traveling from Hyderabad towards Vijayawada on National Highway 65 faced difficulties as vehicle movement slowed. The large number of vehicles contributed to the delays.
The congestion was made worse by issues with FASTag. Some vehicles had insufficient balance, and technical problems at the toll plaza also occurred, causing further slowdowns.
To manage the flow, vehicles are being diverted from Lakkaram through Valigonda to Chityala. Police have asked motorists to follow their instructions for smoother passage.
