Hyderabad-headquartered aerospace and defence player Raghu Vamsi Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) for its proposed superalloys manufacturing facility in Telangana.
The three-year agreement will bring together the manufacturing capabilities of Raghu Vamsi, including those of its UK subsidiary PT Precision Machined Components Ltd (PT-PMC), and AMRC’s expertise in superalloys, single crystal castings, and industrial innovation.
PT-PMC is the precision machining arm of Raghu Vamsi, which it acquired from UK-based Pressure Technologies Ltd in 2024.
The partners will focus on manufacturing processes, digitally enabled practices, supply-chain efficiency, aerospace and defence readiness, and workforce development across operations in the UK and India, Raghu Vamsi said on Thursday.
Under the MoU, AMRC will help assess logistics, carbon impact, and inventory related to the movement of materials between the UK and India.
This partnership is expected to significantly boost the aerospace and defence manufacturing sector in Telangana, enhancing local expertise and bringing advanced technological capabilities to the region.
