The government has suspended K. Srinivasulu, the Health Education and Extension Officer (HEEO) at the Ranga Reddy District Medical and Health Department (DMHO) office. This action follows his arrest by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for demanding a bribe.
Dr. S. Sangeetha Satyanarayana, Commissioner of State Health and Family Welfare, issued the suspension orders on Friday, October 17, 2026.
Srinivasulu had demanded a bribe from a physiotherapy clinic operator to allow the clinic to continue its operations without hindrance. The victim subsequently filed a complaint with the ACB.
Acting on the complaint, ACB officials apprehended Srinivasulu red-handed on October 8 while he was accepting the bribe. He was then arrested by the authorities.
