The Sangameshwara Temple in Kurnool district fully emerged from the Krishna River waters on Saturday. The temple, which went under submergence on August 6, is now accessible to devotees after two months.
The temple was submerged due to floodwaters reaching the Srisailam reservoir. Rains in the upper catchment areas during July led to an increase in the flood flow into the Srisailam reservoir.
With the floodwaters receding, the temple has become visible. Authorities are making arrangements for devotees to have darshan of Lord Shiva starting from Dasara.
The temple is ready for the first puja of Dasara. Devotees can now visit and offer prayers to Lord Shiva as usual.
