Sircilla weavers are facing severe difficulties due to the inadequate placement of saree orders for the upcoming Bathukamma festival in Telangana. Weavers stated that many worker families are struggling with hunger.

The Bathukamma festival is not merely a nine-day flower festival but represents the heartbeat of crores of Telangana people. Critics allege that the Congress government is insulting the self-respect of women by failing to provide sarees for this important festival in their own state.

Accusations have been made that the Congress rulers are showing discrimination towards Bathukamma, which stood as a symbol of identity during the Telangana movement. Some observers noted this alleged discrimination is consistent with their usual approach.

Questions are being raised as to whether Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who is known for using the names of various deities for political gain, is unable to make proper arrangements for the grand Bathukamma festival for Telangana's women.

Alternatively, some speculate that the government's inaction might stem from a fear that KCR's songs would be heard throughout the villages during Bathukamma celebrations, similar to the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Labor unions have demanded that the government immediately respond to this situation and provide sufficient orders to support the Sircilla weavers.
