Telangana Tourism has announced the suspension of boat services between Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar. This decision comes despite a large number of tourists visiting during the Dasara holidays, due to insufficient water levels in the reservoirs.

The water level in the Srisailam reservoir has dropped to 525 feet. Officials stated that this level is inadequate for the safe operation of boats.

Families and friends typically enjoy these boat trips during the Dasara vacation period. However, the current conditions make such journeys unfeasible, according to the tourism department.

Officials confirmed that boat services will not resume until water levels rise sufficiently. These measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of tourists.

The suspension has caused disappointment among tourists who had traveled from various regions, eagerly anticipating the boat ride.

Telangana Tourism officials indicated that boat tours will recommence only after the water levels in the reservoirs improve.
