Telangana Tourism has announced the suspension of boat tours between Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar. This decision comes despite a large influx of tourists during the Dasara holidays, due to falling water levels in the reservoirs.

Boat travel between Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar typically requires a water level of 525 feet. Officials stated that current water levels are below this threshold, making it impossible to operate the boats safely.

Many tourists, including families from various parts of the state, had arrived at Srisailam hoping to enjoy the boat ride during the Dasara vacation. The suspension has caused disappointment among these visitors.

The Tourism Department clarified that boat services will not resume until water levels rise sufficiently. Tourists are advised to consider alternative recreational activities in the area.
