Venamuddala Bathukamma was celebrated with grandeur on the eighth day of Telangana's nine-day Bathukamma festival. This occasion, observed in the Ashwayuja month, holds a special place in Telangana's traditions, with women enthusiastically participating in the floral festival.
The celebration reflects a deep connection between nature, devotion, and cultural heritage. Women come together to celebrate the floral festival with vibrant flower arrangements, traditional folk songs, and special offerings to Goddess Bathukamma.
On the eighth day, Bathukamma was beautifully arranged using seasonal flowers such as thangedu, gunugu, chrysanthemums, roses, and grass flowers. These flowers were carefully stacked in layers to form the traditional pyramid-shaped floral arrangement.
This created a vibrant display of colors and natural beauty. Women decorated Bathukamma with devotion and gathered in courtyards and community spaces to participate in the celebrations.
This festival reflects the culture and traditions of the people of Telangana. These celebrations, which combine nature and devotion, highlight the unity of the state's residents.
