The Meteorological Department announced on Friday that light to moderate rains are expected in various parts of Telangana tomorrow and the day after. Officials also stated that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are possible.
A cyclonic circulation is currently active over North Tamil Nadu and the adjoining South Coastal Andhra Pradesh. This system is positioned between 4.5 and 5.8 kilometers above mean sea level, according to officials.
A trough extends from this cyclonic circulation, located over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and its surrounding areas, to the Northwest Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Department noted that this trough is at an altitude of up to 1.5 kilometers above mean sea level.
Officials reported that this trough weakened by 5 AM on Saturday. This weather pattern is influencing the rainfall activity across the state.
Over the next three days, some parts of the state may experience isolated thunderstorms with lightning. The Meteorological Department warned that winds could also reach speeds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.
