The Telangana government has sanctioned ₹640.67 crore through NABARD's Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) for the comprehensive development of government schools across the state. These funds aim to enhance infrastructure and digital education facilities.

The government recently released two revised Government Orders pertaining to this fund allocation. This initiative will transform government schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs), and model schools.

Under NABARD RIDF-29, the government has allocated ₹352.80 crore for the expansion of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure. This is part of an effort to digitize government schools and expand ICT facilities.

The funds will be used to provide high-tech education to underprivileged students. The government expects the project to be completed by October 20, 2026.
