Telangana's peak power load surpassed 20,000 MW on October 17. This marks a new high for the state's electricity demand.
Despite the record peak load, the daily energy consumption has not yet broken the all-time high of 344.4 million units recorded in March this year.
On October 15, the energy consumption was 338.49 million units, and on October 16, it was 337.8 million units. In March this year, four days saw energy consumption exceeding 341 million units.
The demand for energy from the farm sector remains very high. Farmers did not follow the government's appeal and suggestion to opt for a crop holiday this Rabi season.
Since March, the daily energy consumption has not yet touched the 340 million unit mark. The current trend indicates continued high demand.
