Telangana experienced a reduction in its electricity demand. On October 19, the state's power consumption dropped to 17,756 MW, coinciding with the Dasara holidays.
Earlier this month, on October 15, the peak power demand in the state was recorded at 20,003 MW. The following day, October 16, saw a further increase, with demand reaching 20,018 MW.
However, with the start of the Dasara holidays, electricity usage declined. The slowdown in industrial and commercial activities contributed to this drop in demand.
It is common for power demand to decrease during festivals and public holidays. This year's Dasara holidays followed a similar pattern, showing reduced consumption across the state.
