The Registration and Stamps Department in Telangana has achieved a revenue of Rs 9,051 crore in the first six months of the current 2026–27 financial year, spanning from April to September.

This revenue accounts for 92.64 percent of the targeted gross collection of Rs 9,770 crore. Compared to Rs 7,416 crore collected during the same period last year, this marks an additional increase of Rs 1,635 crore, reflecting an annual growth of 22.05 percent.

Despite a slowdown in the number of document registrations in the real estate market, the state exchequer has received record-high revenue. The increase in property values, even with fewer documents, contributed to this rise in income.

In September alone, the department generated Rs 1,476 crore. This figure represents a 23 percent increase compared to September of the previous year.

The number of registered documents during this period was 1,38,868. The Registration and Stamps Department report indicated that the prevalence of luxury homes and flat registrations also contributed to this revenue growth.
