The Telangana government is set to establish a new centre aimed at strengthening the capabilities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and enhancing their competitiveness across markets. Minister Babu announced this initiative, which is expected to provide substantial support to small businesses.
Speaking at the LUB MSME South India Summit in Hyderabad, Minister Babu stated that the proposed centre would offer support for technology adoption, market access, and investment linkages. The centre will also play a crucial role in promoting products made in Telangana in both national and international markets.
The minister emphasized the significant role MSMEs play in the state’s industrial development and their contribution to the livelihoods of millions of families. He highlighted that the state government has already introduced a dedicated MSME policy to strengthen the sector and improve institutional support for small businesses.
In a further move to address the concerns of small businesses, the government also plans to organize a monthly MSME Grievance Day. This initiative aims to facilitate the resolution of issues raised by MSMEs, providing a direct channel for their concerns.
These measures are poised to provide a significant boost to the MSME sector in Telangana. By enhancing their capabilities and market reach, these initiatives will contribute to the state's economic growth and create broader opportunities for local products.
