The Dasara Mahotsavams at the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Vari Devasthanam on Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada are nearing their end. The much-anticipated Teppotsavam, a key event of the festivities, is scheduled to take place on the Krishna River on October 20.
Officials have completed all arrangements for the Teppotsavam, which will be celebrated on the Krishna River on the auspicious day of Dasara. Extensive preparations are in place for this divine ceremony, eagerly awaited by devotees.
During the Teppotsavam, the deities, Ammavaru and Swamivaru, will be taken in a procession on a Hamsa Vahanam, a swan vehicle. A large number of devotees are expected to gather to witness this spectacle.
This sacred event was canceled for the past two years due to floods in the Krishna River. Devotees are enthusiastic this year as the Teppotsavam is set to proceed without any interruptions.
Authorities have also made robust security arrangements for the Teppotsavam, which marks the culmination of the Dasara Navaratri Utsavams. Measures have been taken to ensure no inconvenience is caused to devotees.
