Tirumala was covered by dark clouds from Friday morning on the occasion of Dasara. Heavy rain lashed the hill shrine between 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
Devotees who arrived for the Mohini Avatar Vahana Seva in the morning remained seated in the galleries to witness the Garuda Seva in the evening.
Despite the afternoon downpour, devotees in the galleries stayed put, undeterred by the rain.
The rainfall caused some disruption to the Garuda Seva. Devotees continued to wait in the rain to witness the procession.
