Traffic restrictions and vehicle diversions have been announced by the police in Palakonda town from October 11 to 20, coinciding with the Sri Kotadurga Ammavari Navaratri celebrations. These measures are implemented for the convenience of devotees and the general public.
According to HMTV, public transport vehicles arriving from Rajam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Parvathipuram, and Veeraghattam will not be permitted directly into Palakonda town via the Kotadurga Ammavari temple.
These vehicles will be diverted at Annavaram Junction and rerouted through Annavaram village to Palakonda Vadama. This aims to alleviate congestion within the town.
Similarly, other large heavy vehicles coming from Srikakulam, Burja, and Amudalavalasa will not be allowed into Palakonda town between 5 AM and 11 PM. This is to prevent traffic disruptions.
These heavy vehicles will be parked at the Ayyappa Shankar Layout near Gayatri Temple. Those wishing to travel towards Parvathipuram, Veeraghattam, or Rayagada can proceed via Seethampeta and Bathili, as reported by HMTV.
These traffic restrictions are important for devotees in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, as they should consider these changes when planning their attendance at the celebrations.
