A traffic jam occurred on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway from 8:11 PM on October 17, 2026, due to the Dasara festival rush. Vehicles are moving slowly near Choutuppal in Ranga Reddy district.
Police have diverted traffic to manage the congestion. Vehicles are being rerouted from the Choutuppal RDO office through Markandeya Nagar, Valigonda, Thallasingaram, Lingojigudem, Ankireddygudem, and Panthangi.
Commuters expressed frustration, stating that the slow pace of flyover construction at Choutuppal is contributing to the daily traffic jams. They noted that these ongoing works consistently cause traffic issues.
Adding to the difficulties, heavy rain lashed Future City and several other areas. The sudden downpour further worsened the traffic situation, causing inconvenience to motorists.
