Hyderabad's list of global capability centres (GCCs) is getting another big addition. Infosys has expanded its long-running partnership with Truist, one of the largest US financial services companies, to support the build-out of Truist's AI-first GCC in the city.
More than 1,000 colleagues are set to be onboarded at the centre, with a celebration planned later in October.
What the centre will do
The Hyderabad centre will bring AI, technology, data, engineering and operations together under one model. Infosys will help Truist build and scale the centre, and then hand it over as a self-sustaining unit run by the bank.
The bigger numbers
According to a Mint report, Infosys won a contract worth more than $500 million from Truist in March 2026 to set up and run the centre. The report said the GCC is expected to employ at least 4,500 people, with Infosys planning to hire around 2,000 in the first year.
It is another sign of Hyderabad's pull for global banks building technology teams in India.
