Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu chaired the 22nd meeting of the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) at the Secretariat on Thursday. Ministers Nara Lokesh, TG Bharath, Anagani Satya Prasad, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, P. Narayana and Kandula Durgesh joined online.

Officials told the CM that work has started on 519 of 714 agreed projects. Naidu asked them to make sure signed agreements turn into actual investment and production instead of staying on paper.

Key directions from the CM

  • Build a semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem in the state.
  • Build an international-standard convention centre in Visakhapatnam for investment summits.
  • Make Rayalaseema a horticulture hub, with a focus on food processing.
  • Develop logistics hubs linking east and west through ports, airports, roads and rail.

The meeting discussed proposals in industries, energy, tourism, IT, electronics and food processing. Official figures on projects approved and investment value at this meeting have not yet been released.
