Hyderabad Cybercrime Police have arrested two individuals who allegedly helped cybercriminals collect 60-70 bank accounts and SIM cards, enabling a fraud network linked to around 450 cases across India involving transactions worth an estimated ₹60-70 crore, Hyderabad Mail reported.

Police arrested Gumma Ramesh, 39, and Mudale Anil, 19, both residents of Ramanthapur, on October 8. Investigators seized two mobile phones from them.

According to the police, the accused allegedly collected bank accounts from students, delivery partners, and others in exchange for commissions. These account details and SIM cards were then supplied to cybercriminals.

Hyderabad Mail reported that Ramesh moved to Hyderabad from Karnataka’s Bidar district with his family due to financial difficulties.

These arrests highlight the pervasive nature of cybercrime in Telangana and the efforts by law enforcement to combat it. It underscores the importance for residents to remain vigilant against such fraudulent schemes.
