The annual Navaratri Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara are being celebrated with grandeur at Tirumala. In light of the anticipated heavy rush for the most important event of the festival, the Garuda Vahana Seva, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board has announced a ban on two-wheelers on both ghat roads.

This restriction will be in effect for two days, commencing from 9 PM on Thursday, October 15, until 6 AM on Saturday, October 17. TTD Board Chairman BR Naidu stated that this measure is being implemented to ensure the safety of the large crowds expected to gather for the event.

The Garuda Vahana Seva, dedicated to Lord Venkateswara's favourite mount, is scheduled to take place on Friday, October 16, at 6:30 PM. This particular event draws a very large number of devotees to Tirumala each year.

Officials have noted that the ongoing Brahmotsavams have already led to severe parking constraints within Tirumala. The two-wheeler ban aims to alleviate some of these issues and manage the flow of devotees more effectively.

BR Naidu urged all devotees to take note of this temporary ban and cooperate with the TTD to ensure a peaceful darshan of the Lord. This decision is particularly relevant for devotees from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana who frequently travel to Tirumala on two-wheelers.
