The 23rd Dasara Mahotsavams are being celebrated grandly at Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari Ammavari Temple in Jangareddygudem town, West Godavari district. As part of these celebrations, the goddess appeared to devotees as Mahishasura Mardini Devi in the morning and as Kalikadevi in the evening.
The festivities are being conducted magnificently under the auspices of the temple and festival committees. T.V.A. Rama Tarakam, president of the festival committee, is overseeing the arrangements.
A large number of devotees visited the temple to have a darshan of the goddess. They performed special pujas and offered their vows.
Appala Srinivasa Rao and his wife from Vanaparthi presented a saree for the goddess's adornment. This saree was used for the special decoration of the deity.
