The Stamps and Registrations Department in Visakhapatnam district is close to achieving the revenue target set by the government for the current financial year, Andhrajyothy reported. The department is just a short distance from reaching its goal.
The government had set a target of Rs. 219.49 crore in revenue through the Stamps and Registrations Department for this financial year. This target was to be met through registrations across ten sub-registrar offices from April to September.
However, according to Andhrajyothy, only Rs. 187.04 crore was collected during this period. This amount is approximately 15 percent less than the total target.
These figures indicate that there is still some ground to cover to meet the target. The department will need to work towards collecting the remaining amount in the rest of the financial year.
The revenue from the Stamps and Registrations Department in Visakhapatnam district is a crucial source for the state government. Achieving this target helps in funding various developmental programs for the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
