Police arrested YSRCP Chairman Polu Veerareddy in Gurazala, Palnadu district, during the night. Two party observers, Enumula Muralidhar Reddy from Pedakurapadu constituency and Kommineni Venkateswarlu from Macherla constituency, were also taken into custody.
The YSRCP has alleged that these arrests were carried out illegally. Party circles have expressed concern over the leaders being taken into custody in the middle of the night.
