The All India Senior Ranking Tennis Tournament commenced on Monday in Palakollu, West Godavari district. State Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu officially inaugurated the competition.
The tournament is being organized under the auspices of the Palakollu Cosmo Cultural Sports Complex. These competitions are held in the name of CH Buddha Avatharam Raju.
The tournament is scheduled to run for six days. Senior tennis players from across the country are participating in this event.
Minister Ramanaidu addressed the athletes. He said sports contribute to physical and mental well-being.
Local sports enthusiasts and members of the tennis association attended the inaugural event. They expressed their wishes for the tournament's success.
Organizers stated that these competitions will foster a spirit of sportsmanship in Palakollu. They hope it will generate interest in tennis among the youth.
