Mighty Marathas and Kakatiya Knights have secured their places in the Archery Premier League (APL) Season 2 playoffs with impressive wins. Both teams have confirmed the top two spots in the league phase after their matches in Hyderabad.
The Marathas swept aside Chero Archers with a dominant 6-0 victory, while the Knights defeated Prithviraaj Yodhas 6-2 in what was described as one of the best matches of the season.
These results propelled both the Marathas and the Knights to 12 points each, a tally that none of the other four teams can now match.
Earlier in the day, despite being out of contention for a playoff spot, the Chola Chiefs played spoilsports for the second straight evening, this time handing Rajputana Royals a damaging defeat.
The battle for the third and fourth playoff places now goes down to the wire, with Royals, Chero, and Yodhas all level on 8 points and very little to choose between them in terms of tiebreakers.
The local franchise, Kakatiya Knights, securing a crucial win against last season's finalists, Yodhas, is a significant development for fans in Telangana, highlighting their strong performance in the league.
