The fifth and final T20I between India and the West Indies at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday was shortened to a nine-overs-a-side contest due to rain.
The toss was originally scheduled for 6:30 PM, but continuous rain kept the covers on the pitch and both teams in their dressing rooms.
Around 8:30 PM, the rain stopped, and ground staff quickly began removing the covers, allowing for preparations to resume.
In the shortened game, the powerplay will last for just 2.4 overs. This change will affect team strategies.
The toss was scheduled for 9 PM, with play set to begin 15 minutes later, much to the anticipation of the waiting fans.
