Vadapalli Naveen, president of the BRSV MGU student union, criticized the Telangana government for failing to allocate any Assistant Professor posts to Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) in its GO Number 142 notification for appointments. He made these comments on October 19 in Ramagiri.
Naveen expressed concern that the absence of faculty posts for MGU would exacerbate the university's existing shortage of teachers. He highlighted that this situation could negatively impact students' academic standards and future prospects.
Vadapalli Naveen asserted that the government is responsible for allocating Assistant Professor posts to MGU, similar to other universities in the state. He urged the government to take immediate action, considering the students' future.
Naveen also criticized the Vice-Chancellor for not actively bringing the university's faculty requirements to the government's attention. He called for the Vice-Chancellor to intervene promptly to resolve this issue.
The BRSV MGU student union requested the government to identify the faculty needs across various departments at MGU and proceed with allocating an adequate number of Assistant Professor posts. They appealed for a positive response from the government on this matter.
