Legendary batter Shivnarine Chanderpaul has praised West Indies captain Shai Hope's batting style. Ahead of the fifth T20I decider against India, Chanderpaul highlighted Hope's mature approach and orthodox strokeplay.

Chanderpaul stated that Hope scores runs freely without resorting to reckless hitting. These comments were made by Chanderpaul, who is currently playing and coaching the West Indies Champions in the World Championship of Legends.

Hope has developed into a more mature and confident player, according to Chanderpaul. He noted that Hope focuses on finding gaps rather than swinging wildly at the ball.

Hope has been in excellent form, having scored four centuries across three ODIs and four T20Is against India. His consistent performance has been a key asset for the team.

With the T20I series tied at 2-2, dismissing Hope early will be essential for India in the upcoming decider in Bengaluru. Chanderpaul also mentioned that Hope's all-round cricket has improved.
