A Child Rights Secretariat Cell has been established at the main office of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC). According to Disha daily, this cell was set up in collaboration with UNICEF India.

Prior to the establishment of this cell, the CMC organized a special meeting on the topic 'Junior Citizens: A Child-Friendly and Safe Cyberabad'. This meeting was aimed at developing Cyberabad into a safer, more inclusive, and child-friendly city.

During the meeting, the vision and action plan proposed by the CMC to make Cyberabad a child-friendly city were discussed in detail. These discussions provided guidance for future actions.

Jesper Moller, Deputy Representative (Programs) of UNICEF India, and Soledad Herrero, Chief of Field Services of UNICEF India, attended the meeting. Also present were Dr. Jelalem B. Tafesse, Chief of Field Office for UNICEF Hyderabad, and Sonykutty George, Child Protection Specialist for UNICEF Hyderabad.

This initiative will help provide a better future for children in Telangana. By making Cyberabad a safe and child-friendly city, it sets a precedent for similar programs across the state.
