R. Krishnaiah, National President of the BC Welfare Association and Rajya Sabha member, demanded that the government immediately regularize 1200 contract assistant professors working in 12 universities across the state. Contract assistant professors staged a protest on Thursday at the Higher Education office near Masab Tank with this demand.

On this occasion, R. Krishnaiah urged the government to regularize the contract assistant professors as per the promise made earlier by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He emphasized that the Chief Minister should uphold his commitment.

R. Krishnaiah recalled that contract assistant professors had conducted an indefinite strike for 11 days in April last year. He stated that the strike was called off only after the Chief Minister gave an assurance at that time.

However, R. Krishnaiah expressed his anger, stating that the Chief Minister has not yet fulfilled the promise made. He mentioned that the professors are deeply disappointed due to this delay.

The regularization of these professors, who play a crucial role in the state's higher education system, will have a positive impact on the education sector. The public is urging the government to immediately consider their demands.
