Hyderabad — Tamil actor Dhanush, one of the busiest names in Indian cinema, is set to take up a new Telugu film after strong box-office runs with "Sir" and "Kubera" in the language.
He is currently in talks with Sithara Entertainments, the production house behind "Sir," for the new project. The film will start rolling next year and will be directed by Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, known for the Tamil hit "Lubber Pandhu."
Dhanush is also expected to co-produce the film alongside Sithara Entertainments. The project is said to be a rural entertainer, with an official announcement expected soon from the team.
Dhanush has meanwhile wrapped shooting for "OM," which is aimed at a Diwali release this year.
