Prominent film producer Dil Raju participated as the chief guest at the 'Bathukamma Young Filmmakers Challenge-2026' awards ceremony in Hyderabad. Speaking at the event, he noted a change in the approach of films with a Telangana background.

Dil Raju recalled that previously, Telangana-themed films predominantly focused on revolutionary ideologies and Naxalite-based narratives. He observed that this trend has shifted over the past three to four years.

Films like 'Balagam' are now highlighting Telangana's rural culture, relationships, and emotions, marking a new direction, Dil Raju said. He added that upcoming films such as 'Maisa' are also expected to follow this pattern.

Dil Raju stated that platforms like these are essential for identifying and encouraging the innovative talent among today's youth. He affirmed that success in the film industry is not tied to a specific region, emphasizing that genuine talent and hard work are key.
