Four students from the erstwhile Visakhapatnam district have been selected for the state-level weightlifting competitions. These students will participate in the state-level weightlifting competitions to be held in Kakinada from October 9 to 11.
According to Andhrajyothy, these students recently won in the district-level weightlifting competitions held in their schools in the Under-17 and Under-19 categories.
Among the selected students are T. Pratap Kumar and D. Rambabu. They will represent the erstwhile Visakhapatnam district in the Under-17 and Under-19 divisions.
As reported by Andhrajyothy, the students were congratulated by their coach and Principal P.S.N. Murthy. They expressed hope for a strong performance at the state level.
These competitions provide an important platform for young athletes to showcase their talent. Many athletes from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states will participate in these competitions.
