The Samagra Shiksha has released Rs 2.71 crore for the creation of basic facilities in government schools within Prakasam district. These funds were disbursed to the concerned Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) on October 17.
Out of 2,251 schools in the district that were sanctioned grants, funds for 1,868 schools have been released to their respective DDOs. These funds are intended to be used for providing essential amenities in the schools.
For the 383 schools that do not have DDO codes, the grants have been deposited into the accounts of the respective Mandal Education Officers. This measure aims to streamline the distribution of funds.
These funds are expected to help create a better learning environment for students in schools. Officials anticipate that improved basic facilities will lead to an enhancement in educational standards.
