Nivedita and Akhila, daughters of Vaditya Yadu Naik and Papi Bai from Paluguthanda in Narayankhed constituency, have successfully secured MBBS seats. Former Minister Harish Rao congratulated the two sisters, whose parents are daily wage laborers and participated in the Telangana movement.

Harish Rao expressed his happiness upon meeting the two sisters, who came with their family. He conveyed his delight regarding their achievement in gaining admission to medical colleges.

The former minister stated that medical education was once limited to the wealthy. He noted that the previous KCR government initiated reforms with the aim of making it accessible to economically disadvantaged students. He praised these reforms for leading to such transformative outcomes.

Hundreds of gurukul schools were established to provide free, high-quality education. Additionally, a medical college was set up in each district, which led to an increase in MBBS seats from 2,850 to 10,000.

Harish Rao affirmed that these policies have enabled students from underprivileged backgrounds to pursue careers as doctors. He emphasized that the government's objective was to make medical education available to all deserving students.
