Angel Hidalgo, Joost Luiten, and Adrian Meronk are sharing the clubhouse lead at the weather-affected DP World India Championship in Delhi. The three golfers are at the top of a congested leaderboard despite the delays.
The tournament faced a challenging schedule after nearly five hours of play were lost to storms on the opening day, causing significant delays for the players.
However, conditions improved significantly on Friday, allowing some players to tackle as many as 36 holes at the Delhi Golf Club.
Among the leaders, Luiten played the most, completing 34 holes and carding rounds of 68-68 to reach eight under par. Meronk and Hidalgo each played 31 holes.
Om Prakash Chouhan remained the highest-placed Indian player as competitors battled through the congested schedule following the initial storms.
This tournament holds interest for golf enthusiasts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, offering a chance to follow international golf and the performance of Indian players on a global stage.
