Hyderabad's cricket team was bowled out for 275 runs on the first day of their Ranji Trophy Elite Group B match against Andhra at Mulapadu. The team, having chosen to bat first, began their innings with a strong opening partnership.
Openers Tanmay Agarwal scored 42 runs and Abhirath Reddy contributed 67 runs, establishing a 109-run stand. This initial partnership provided a solid foundation for Hyderabad's innings.
However, the team's momentum shifted after left-arm spinner Saurabh Kumar dismissed Tanmay Agarwal in the 29th over and Abhirath Reddy in the 35th over. These dismissals marked the beginning of a batting collapse.
Following the openers' departure, Rahul Singh, with 20 runs, and K Himateja, with 10 runs, were quickly out. Off-spinner Tripurana Vijay and left-arm spinner A Lalith Mohan took their wickets, leaving Hyderabad at 141 for four in the 46th over.
A 53-run partnership for the fifth wicket between Pragnay Reddy, who scored 31, and Rahul Radesh, who remained unbeaten with 58, helped stabilize the innings. Despite Radesh's efforts, the remaining batsmen could not add substantial runs.
Andhra's spinners consistently took wickets throughout the day, effectively restricting Hyderabad's scoring. At the close of play on day one, Andhra had scored nine runs without losing any wickets.
