Hyderabad Metro Rail services have been extended until midnight on Wednesday, in anticipation of the India-West Indies T20 match scheduled at Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad. This special arrangement has been made to ensure cricket fans can safely return home after the match.
L&T Metro officials announced that trains will operate until 12 AM from Uppal Stadium and NGR stations along the Nagole-Raidurgam corridors. This extension will greatly benefit the thousands of spectators attending the match.
Normally, metro services conclude at 10:30 PM, but for this special occasion, they will be available for an additional hour and a half. This provides enhanced safety and convenience for those traveling late at night.
This decision helps prevent transportation issues for attendees leaving the stadium after the match, reducing traffic congestion and making travel easier.
This initiative highlights the government's commitment to supporting sports events in Hyderabad. Residents of Telangana will benefit from improved transportation options when participating in such major events.
