Faculty from the Indian Institute of Technology - Hyderabad (IIT-H) have begun teaching at the Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University (SSCTU) campus in Mulugu. This initiative comes under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions.

Under the agreement, IIT-H is tasked with mentoring and designing academic programmes offered by SSCTU to strengthen its standards, according to The Hindu.

The IIT-H faculty are teaching technical courses at the tribal university. This provides students with access to higher-level education.
