A new examination system has been implemented for Intermediate students in Telangana. According to Vaartha Telugu, internal assessment has been introduced in all subjects along with the new syllabus. This means students will now need to prioritize practicals and activities in addition to theory exams.

As per the Vaartha Telugu report, under the new system, 80 percent of marks are allocated for the written examination, and 20 percent for practicals or internal assessment. This aims to contribute to a more comprehensive evaluation of students.

To pass the 80-mark theory exam, students must secure at least 28 marks. Additionally, a minimum of 7 marks is required in the 20-mark practical component, as stated by Vaartha Telugu, providing clarity on passing criteria.

Changes have also been made to the marking scheme in Mathematics. According to Vaartha Telugu, the final examination for Mathematics will now be conducted for 60 marks instead of 75 marks. The remaining 15 marks have been allotted for internal assessment.

These changes will make the student learning process more comprehensive. This new system encourages students in Telangana to focus not only on written exams but also on practical skills and continuous learning.
