The retention deadline for IPL 2027 is November 17. Before then, Crictracker and Outlook report trade talks involving Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Liam Livingstone.
The numbers
- RCB bought Livingstone for ₹8.75 crore at the previous mega auction.
- After RCB released him, SRH bought him for ₹13 crore at the 2026 auction.
- He made 15 runs in two games in 2026 before losing his place in the XI, including the Impact Player slot.
- He is 33.
The talks
Reports say Chennai Super Kings are assessing a move for Livingstone and that other franchises are involved. Some sources say CSK may offer Khaleel Ahmed, but Outlook says this may not be reliable since SRH recently added T Natarajan. Both reports say nothing has been finalised.
SRH's position
SRH have not decided whether to keep, trade or release Livingstone. Franchise officials have not commented.
