Kakatiya University is undertaking major reforms in education, research, and technology, including the introduction of an AI-enabled curriculum aligned with future needs, said Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pratap Reddy.

Speaking at REACH–2026, organised by TGCHE at the JNTUH Golden Jubilee Hall on October 3, 2026, he stated that the University would be developed as a nodal centre for higher education institutions in North Telangana over the next five years, initially benefiting around 2,000 students, as reported by Hindudayashankar.

As part of its internationalisation initiatives, the University plans to send 30 engineering students to Germany and facilitate international academic and research programmes for 40 researchers and faculty members, Hindudayashankar reported.

The University currently has over 68 research projects, more than 1,000 international publications, and over 100 patents. Efforts are underway to mobilise around ₹50 crore in research funding through government and industry partnerships, according to Hindudayashankar.

These reforms will provide students in Telangana with access to international-standard education and research opportunities. This will help elevate the quality of higher education in the state and prepare them for future job markets.
