Knauf India, a global leader in drywall and ceiling solutions, has inaugurated a new training centre in Vijayawada. The centre, established in collaboration with Pratham Education Foundation, began operations on October 17, 2026.
The initiative reflects Knauf India’s ongoing commitment to fostering a skilled workforce. It aims to create sustainable livelihood opportunities within India's expanding construction sector, particularly for drywall and ceiling systems.
The Vijayawada centre will provide practical, industry-relevant training. It focuses on drywall and false ceiling installation, combining technical instruction with hands-on, site-based learning experiences.
Candidates aged 18 years and above are eligible for the programme. Approximately 100 trainees are expected to enrol during the first year of operation.
Over the 45-day training period, participants will learn NSDC-aligned modules, workplace safety protocols, and practical installation techniques. The curriculum prepares candidates for roles such as site supervisors in construction, real estate, and interior design industries.
