The centralized kitchen breakfast program launched under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's vision in Kodangal has received positive feedback from students, parents, and teachers, The Hans India reported. The initiative provides hygienically prepared breakfasts and fresh milk to students in government primary schools and Zilla Parishad High Schools.
Implemented by the Hare Krishna Movement (HKM) Charitable Foundation, the program also monitors students' height, weight, and Body Mass Index to support nutritional improvement.
A Third Vision evaluation covered 575 parents, 1,153 students, and 176 teachers and headmasters. The evaluation found improved attendance and reduced hunger, though it also flagged operational gaps.
According to The Hans India, 99.9% of students ate the breakfast served at school, while 86.4% attended the program daily.
This scheme helps increase student attendance and addresses their nutritional needs. It has a positive impact on the health and educational outcomes of students in government schools across Telangana.
