Massive investments are set to flow into the Orvakal Industrial Node in Kurnool district, signaling a new phase of economic expansion for the region. Minister for Industries, Commerce and Food Processing, TG Bharath, announced this significant investment pipeline.

The Orvakal Industrial Node is master-planned under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme (NICDC) along the Hyderabad–Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (HBIC). Its base infrastructure cost stands at Rs 2,786 crore, with works progressing on schedule, as explained by TG Bharath to The Times of India.

The Agastya Green Energy project is a major anchor investment within the Orvakal Industrial Node, committing an outlay of Rs 7,800 crore to establish an end-to-end solar manufacturing complex. This project operates under the Anubhav Agarwal Group (BN Group), as reported by The Times of India.

The enterprise aims to set up 12 GW ingot and 12 GW wafer production capacities, integrated with high-efficiency solar cell and module lines. This mega-facility is designed to accelerate backward integration and strengthen India's domestic photovoltaic supply chain under the Make in India vision, according to The Times of India.

Similarly, the Grydonn Energy project represents another significant high-tech manufacturing addition to the green energy ecosystem at the Orvakal Mega Industrial Hub in Kurnool district. These investments are fueled by proactive state policies, rapid single-window clearances, and strategic connectivity projects, as stated by The Times of India.

This mega-facility is projected to generate over 3,500 direct high-skilled jobs in Kurnool and the Rayalaseema region. This development will significantly enhance employment opportunities for the youth in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
