Sanitation and security workers at Nacharam ESI Hospital in Hyderabad staged a protest demanding immediate payment of their pending salaries for the past four months. The demonstration created tension within the hospital premises.
These contract workers have been facing severe hardships due to not receiving their wages for four consecutive months. The workers expressed their distress, stating that it has become difficult to even support their families.
AITUC State General Secretary Narasimha extended his support to the protest. He demanded that the government immediately address the workers' legitimate demands.
Narasimha highlighted that the non-payment of wages has caused severe financial difficulties for the workers, significantly impacting their daily lives.
The AITUC warned that if the workers' issues are not resolved promptly, they would intensify their protests. The workers are urging the government and hospital management to respond immediately and disburse their salaries.
While the government claims its commitment to the welfare of workers in Telangana, the salary issue at Nacharam ESI Hospital reflects the plight of contract workers across the state.
