Senior actor Naresh stated that it is inappropriate to divide films in the Telugu film industry based on regions. He made these remarks at the trailer launch event of the 'Garividi Lakshmi' biopic, held at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad.
According to AP7AM, Naresh criticized the recent trend of labeling films as Telangana cinema, Rayalaseema cinema, or Uttarandhra cinema, calling it a fashion.
Naresh emphasized that just as songs and music have no boundaries, cinema also has no regional distinctions.
He questioned why Telugu films are being divided regionally when audiences embrace Korean, Malayalam, and Tamil films regardless of language.
Naresh urged audiences to support films that offer good content.
By viewing films without regional distinctions, audiences in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana can contribute to the further growth of the Telugu film industry.
