Pragyan Ojha has taken over as the chairman of the Indian men's senior cricket selection committee. This appointment was made in Bengaluru.

Ajit Agarkar, who previously held the position, resigned on the 4th of this month after his tenure concluded. Ojha had been serving as the interim chief selector following Agarkar's departure.

Ojha has now assumed full responsibilities based on his seniority. He will continue in this role until October 20, 2026.

Former cricketer Ramesh Powar has been selected as the West Zone selector, filling the vacancy left by Agarkar. With Powar's appointment, the selection committee is now fully constituted.
